Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By accessing or using VINalyzer (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. The Service

VINalyzer generates AI-assisted vehicle intelligence reports using public VIN decoding data, NHTSA recall data, MarketCheck valuation data, and large-language-model analysis. Reports are informational estimates, not professional advice.

3. Accounts and guest checkout

Single reports may be purchased as a guest. Multi-report packages require a free account. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account.

4. Pricing, payments, and credits

• Prices are listed in U.S. dollars and processed by Stripe. Applicable taxes are added at checkout.
• Each successful purchase grants a fixed number of report credits, redeemable by submitting a VIN.
• Credits do not expire but are non-transferable and have no cash value.

5. Refunds

Because reports are generated on demand and delivered digitally, all sales are final once a report has been generated. If you experience a technical failure that prevents report delivery, contact support@vinalyzer.io within 14 days and we will issue a refund or restore the credit at our discretion. Refunds revoke all credits originally granted by that purchase.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to: (a) submit VINs you are not authorized to research; (b) resell, redistribute, or republish reports; (c) scrape, reverse engineer, or attempt to bypass usage limits; (d) use the Service for any unlawful purpose; (e) attempt to interfere with the Service's security or availability.

7. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, branding, and content (excluding third-party data), is owned by VINalyzer. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to view and download reports you purchase for your personal, non-commercial use.

8. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. Reports are AI-generated estimates and are not a substitute for a professional pre-purchase inspection, certified mechanic evaluation, or official vehicle history report (e.g., Carfax, AutoCheck). Recall data is sourced from NHTSA and may be incomplete or out of date.

9. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, VINALYZER AND ITS OPERATORS, AFFILIATES, AND CONTRIBUTORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR VEHICLE VALUE, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 90 DAYS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) USD $25.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold VINalyzer harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your misuse of the Service or violation of these Terms.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access for any user who violates these Terms or abuses the Service. Unused credits associated with a terminated account due to violation are forfeited.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you consent to that jurisdiction.

13. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.
