1. Who we are

VINalyzer ("we", "us", "our") provides AI-generated vehicle intelligence reports based on Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs). Contact: support@vinalyzer.io.

2. Information we collect

  • VIN and asking price you submit to generate a report.
  • Email address if you create an account or complete a paid checkout (collected by our payment processor).
  • Payment information processed solely by Stripe; we do not store full card numbers.
  • Anonymous browser identifier stored in your browser's local storage to associate guest purchases with your device.
  • Standard log data such as IP address, user agent, and timestamps for security and abuse prevention.

3. How we use information

  • To generate and deliver your requested reports.
  • To process payments, issue receipts, and apply refunds.
  • To prevent fraud, abuse, and to comply with legal obligations.
  • To improve product quality and accuracy.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your data to train third-party AI models.

4. Third-party services

  • Stripe — payment processing.
  • NHTSA — public recall and VIN decode data (no personal data shared).
  • MarketCheck — vehicle market valuation data (VIN only, no personal data).
  • AI providers — used to generate the natural-language portions of the report. Only vehicle data and asking price are sent.
  • Supabase — secure database and authentication hosting.

5. Data retention

Purchase and report records are retained as long as needed to provide the service, support refunds, and comply with tax and accounting laws (typically up to 7 years). You may request deletion of your personal data by emailing support@vinalyzer.io.

6. Security

We use TLS encryption in transit, role-based access controls, and row-level security on stored data. No system is 100% secure; you use the service at your own risk.

7. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (e.g., GDPR, CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data, and to opt out of certain processing. Submit requests to support@vinalyzer.io.

8. Children

VINalyzer is not directed to children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

9. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
